Hamilton is fortunate to have many great health care services and facilities.  On April 4, 2011, many elements of our Access to the Best Care (ABC) plan were implemented, affecting where some of our services are provided. * Emergency care at McMaster is now for children 17 and under only. No adults. * New Main Street West Urgent Care Centre for all ages is now open. In order to meet the ever-growing demand for care, ABC will strengthen our local and regional hospital system by further enhancing our centres of excellence to ensure the best outcomes for patients, optimal use of resources and better access to care.
